Alumni Ambassadors

Alumni ambassadors volunteer their time to support and inspire prospective students considering whether to study at Birkbeck, University of London.

Alumni ambassadors can offer insights from their own experience studying at Birkbeck and advice on topics like adjusting to life at university and future career pathways. Alumni ambassadors will be invited to volunteer for opportunities including Open Days, Offer-Holder Events and Alumni Profiles.

This opportunity is exclusively available to Birkbeck alumni who have graduated in the last ten years.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for alumni who would like to give back to the University and help future Birkbeck students thrive

As an alumni ambassador, you will be proud of your time at the University and support Birkbeck’s values

You will be a confident and articulate representative for the University and be able to share more about your own experience as part of the Birkbeck community – from your application, to your graduation, and beyond!

Alumni ambassadors must have graduated in the last 10 years

How to Volunteer

Register your interest to become an alumni ambassador using our online form. All volunteers will be contacted up to one month after submitting your application.

Successful applicants will be provided with further information about the alumni ambassador programme including online training resources.

Birkbeck, Malet Street & Senate House

Open Days

Open Days and Evenings give prospective students the chance to explore campus and attend presentations about studying at Birkbeck.

Alumni ambassadors will be invited to join online and in-person panel discussions where they can share more about their time studying at Birkbeck and where their degree has taken them since graduation.

Time Commitment: 1 hour (+ travel, if required)

Offer Holder Events

Offer Holder Events give prospective students the opportunity to find out more about their academic department and meet members of staff.

Alumni ambassadors will be invited to join online and in-person panel discussions where they can share more about their time studying at Birkbeck and where their degree has taken them since graduation.

Time Commitment: 1 hour (+ travel, if required)

Alumni Profiles

Alumni profiles help us inspire and attract talented students by showcasing our diverse range of former students.

Alumni profiles highlight how your time at Birkbeck shaped your career and life. You can also share advice and memories from your time as a student.

Profiles may be used online, in prospectuses or in other promotional materials.

Time Commitment: Up to 1 Hour (Online)
